Ballon Air De Paris to visualize air quality in Paris (by AIRPARIF) via color changes as shown in the images above. The balloon will reach an altitude of 150 m and will be seen by 400,000 people every day. The color green stands for "very clean" while the color red stands for "hazardous". A high powered laser, enlightens the bottom of the balloon to display traffic polution. 6 sensors are distributed troughout Paris, measuring the air quality. The government hopes, that if the balloon turns red, it will encourage parisians to use their bikes or go by foot instead of using their car.
