Plans for the U2 Tower in Dublin, Ireland have been halted amidst the current market turbulence. The tower should hold a public viewing platform,hotel, retail and residential space (including 20 % social and affordable housing). At the top of the tower U2 will have their own record studio suspended in mid air. If current negotiations succeed, construction should start in 2009.
